This Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 NPR Music celebrates artists from all corners of Latinidad with an ‘El Tiny’ takeover.
From the second Colombian celebrity Juanes began singing “Nada Valgo Sin Tu Amor,” we all know we had been in for one thing particular.
He often performs in arenas and stadiums everywhere in the Spanish talking world, however he introduced his intensely private songs to the Tiny Desk — and none of them misplaced their energy of talking on to the center.
A highpoint for me was when he transformed his in style music “La Luz” right into a Dominican merengue, full with crowd singalong. However what introduced the home down was his shock encore of “A Dios Le Pido,” proving this efficiency celebrates the ability of his artistry and the familiarity of his music in our lives.
