Pleasure Oladokun Sage: Adekunle Gold Collaboration


Pleasure Oladokun and Adekunle Gold wrote Sage over the telephone in 2020, when the pandemic had shrunk on a regular basis life to 4 partitions and an unsure future. Six years later, the tune sounds unnervingly present.

Launched on August 21, 2026, “Sage” opens inside a hazy soundscape of mild guitar strums and softly spoken vocals. The percussion quickly picks up and the melody opens into one thing brighter.

Oladokun, the Nashville-based singer-songwriter born to Nigerian immigrant mother and father, has lengthy moved between folks, soul and pop. “Sage” brings African music into that blend.
