Violinist Madeleine Mitchell is joined by associates Kirsten Jensen (cello) and Julian Milford (piano) for a live performance of piano trios at Leighton Home on 11 June. The live performance options music by Germaine Tailleferre, Delius and Dvorak. The night provides the chance to discover the home and gallery, which reopened in 2022 following a significant refurbishment of the twentieth century additions to Lord Leighton’s authentic home.
Germaine Tailleferre wrote her Piano Trio in 1916/17, however it didn’t obtain a lot consideration and remained unpublished. She returned to it in 1978, changing one motion and including the finale.
