Crowded Home are a rock band shaped in Melbourne, Australia, in 1985. The founding members have been New Zealander Neil Finn(vocalist, guitarist, main songwriter) and Australians Paul Hester (drums) and Nick Seymour (bass). Later band members included Neil Finn’s brother, Tim Finn, and Individuals Mark Hart and Matt Sherrod.

Initially energetic from 1985 to 1996, the band had constant business and significant success in Australia and New Zealand and worldwide chart success in two phases, starting with their self-titled debut album, which reached quantity twelve on the US Album Chart in 1987 and offered the High Ten hits “Don’t Dream It’s Over” and “One thing So Robust”. Additional worldwide success got here within the UK, Europe and South Africa with their third and fourth albums, Woodface and Collectively Alone and the compilation album Recurring Dream, which included the hits “Fall at Your Toes”, “Climate with You”, “Distant Solar”, “Locked Out”, “Intuition” and “Not the Lady You Suppose You Are”. Neil and Tim Finn have been every awarded an OBE in June 1993, for his or her contribution to the music of New Zealand.

Founding drummer Hester left in Could 1994 citing household causes, however briefly returned for his or her “Farewell to the World” concert events in Melbourne and Sydney in 1996. Neil Finn had determined to finish the band to focus on his solo profession and the Finn Brothersproject with Tim.On 26 March 2005 Hester died by suicide, aged 46. In 2006 the group re-formed with a brand new drummer Matt Sherrod and launched two additional albums (in 2007 and 2010), each of which reached primary on Australia’s album chart. As of July 2010 the group has bought 10 million albums. In November 2016 they have been inducted into the ARIA Corridor of Fame.
