Classical Highlights for March 2026

We’re again with classical music critiques! Thanks all for the type and supportive messages after the passing of James Manheim final October; they had been very appreciated. We now have acquired a few new writers we expect are superb, and we hope you do as properly. Amongst their first items is an analysis of Hans Zender‘s orchestration and elaboration of Schubert’s Winterreise, sung by tenor Allan Clayton (pictured) with the Aurora Orchestra. Beneath are their preliminary critiques, plus some from one among our long-time workers editors, Keith Finke, who hopes to have extra time to jot down this 12 months as properly.
