Choose Says No to Mistrial Bid

Lindsay Clancy is not going to be getting a mistrial … after the decide shot down her protection crew’s request Monday following controversial testimony about faith.
The drama unfolded throughout testimony from forensic psychologist Dr. Kirk Heilbrun, who introduced up Clancy’s perception that she and her kids could be collectively in heaven … and referenced Catholic teachings on suicide being a “mortal sin.”
Clancy’s legal professional instantly objected and requested for a mistrial, calling the testimony “excessive … speaking about faith, speaking about heaven, speaking about killing folks and the impression it might have on Lindsay in addition to her kids.”
However Choose William Sullivan mentioned no cube.
He denied the mistrial request … although he did reprimand prosecutors and informed jurors Heilbrun’s feedback have been “immaterial, irrelevant and to be disregarded.”

Clancy has pleaded not responsible to first-degree homicide within the deaths of her three kids — 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan.
Prosecutors say Clancy deliberate the killings … whereas her protection argues she was overmedicated and affected by postpartum psychosis on the time.
If convicted, Clancy faces life in jail with out parole.
