There are many love songs out on the planet, and that is a part of the explanation why Moist Leg‘s Rhian Teasdale did not really feel like she wanted so as to add her personal to the pile. No less than, not till she discovered love herself.

“Love by no means involves you if you’re on the lookout for it,” she says. “It is all the time if you least count on it.”

In at this time’s session, Teasdale joins us to speak about writing love songs for Moist Leg’s new album, moisturizer. It is the English band’s follow-up to their self-titled debut album, which grew to become a shock breakout hit in 2022.

This time round, they’ve expanded. It is not simply Teasdale and her co-founder, Hester Chambers. There’s an entire band within the image. Teasdale talks about how writing as a band and chopping their enamel on the pageant circuit primed them for moisturizer.

Plus, she gushes over certainly one of her extra unconventional inspirations: English tv presenter Davina McCall.

“She was form of synonymous with the present,” Teasdale says. “With out Davina, there was no Massive Brother.”
