Disney is bringing extra music-based collection to its networks in 2025. Vampirina and How We Turned the Largest Band within the World have each been ordered, and they’ll air on Disney Channel and Disney+ subsequent 12 months.
Disney Channel revealed extra about each new exhibits in a press launch.
“In the present day, Disney Branded Tv introduced collection greenlights for “How We Turned the Largest Band within the World” and “Vampirina” (each working titles), two music-driven, live-action comedies slated to premiere subsequent 12 months on Disney Channel and Disney+.
“How We Turned the Largest Band within the World” (working title) follows three members of a mega-famous pop group as they inform the story of their band and friendship, beginning with the day all of them met in center faculty. “Vampirina” (working title) follows a tween vampire woman who leaves Transylvania to reside amongst people and pursue her ardour for music.
“‘How We Turned the Largest Band within the World’ and ‘Vampirina’ are two standout additions to Disney Channel’s comedy slate,” stated Ayo Davis, president, Disney Branded Tv. “Each new collection are filled with all the weather we all know our younger audiences love: relatable, aspirational characters, upbeat music and loads of laughter, friendship and coronary heart.”
“How We Turned the Largest Band within the World” (Working Title)
“How We Turned the Largest Band within the World” (working title) follows three members of a mega-famous pop group, Electrical Bloom, as they give the impression of being again and inform the story of their band and friendship, beginning with the day all of them met in center faculty. The women go on a journey to turning into the most important band on the planet and the perfect mates within the universe.
The collection stars Lumi Pollack (“The Fallout”) as Posey, newcomer Carmen Sanchez as Jade, newcomer Ruby Marino as Tulip and Nathaniel Buescher (“Circuit Breakers”) as Lucas.
Eric Friedman serves as showrunner and government producer alongside writers and government producers Alex Fox and Rachel Lewis. Iconic songwriter Diane Warren and Bahareh Batmang are government producers, and Warren wrote the songs within the pilot. Jody Hahn directed and executive-produced the pilot.
“Vampirina” (Working Title)
“Vampirina” (working title) follows a tween vampire woman who leaves the security of Transylvania to attend a performing arts boarding faculty. Residing amongst people for the primary time, she pursues her ardour for music whereas protecting her vampire secret, one thing that’s made more difficult when her overprotective father fees an overzealous ghost to reside along with her on the faculty. The collection relies on the books written by Anne Marie Tempo and illustrated by LeUyen Pham, and impressed by the Disney Jr. animated collection “Vampirina” from Chris Nee.
The collection stars newcomer Kenzi Richardson as Vee, Jiwon Lee (“Rise Up, Sing Out”) as Sophie, Shaun Dixon (“The Neighborhood”) as Elijah, Milo Maharlika (“Les Miserables” Broadway Nationwide Tour) as Demi and newcomer Religion Hedley as Britney.
Randi Barnes serves as showrunner and government producer. Tim Federle and Bronwyn North-Reist are government producers. Kimberly McCullough directed and government produced the pilot.
